Yolks' Exodus | 2025 | wool, thread, acrylic paint
THE GREAT ESCAPE
2025
I’ve always felt like an egg yolk trying to escape — not only from the rigid shell that protects and confines, but also from the soft white that comforts yet can hold us back. The shell embodies systems and norms; the white, the intimate sphere of family and attachments. Both sustain, yet both can restrain.
This series reflects that tension: the impulse to break away without rejecting what has carried us. Each piece inhabits a state of transition — between attachment and release, inheritance and self-invention — tracing the fragile moment when transformation begins.
