Linted Tales encompasses 25 art pieces, varying in size from 2 x 2 inches to 88 x 54 inches, with some directly integrated onto walls. It serves as a personal diary of a woman who received a traditional education. The artworks exude an air of elegance and politeness, embodying the principles of proper education without perpetuating the negative notion that domestic tasks burden women.

 

Through the creation of incomprehensible lines of text, I employ a form of communication that transcends specific meanings and conventions. By utilizing lint felt on upcycled canvas curtains, I engage in a symbolic reenactment of endless domestic chores. Furthermore, I incorporate old garments worn by my husband, daughter, and myself to evoke memories and a sense of nostalgia.

 

Raised by a stay-at-home mother who reluctantly imparted domestic responsibilities during my childhood, I sought to challenge the frustration typically associated with repetitive work, choosing instead to embrace intentional play and the artistic process. Additionally, the laundry room serves as a metaphor for the love and care I harbor for my family.
