Giving a voice to the materials is the intention of this series. As a beginning, I provide the elements with a sheet of paper; at times, I prepare lines for them in the forming for the articulation of their words. I channel them, and then I let them muse. They have so much to reveal—shapes, colors, textures, whether humble as plastic or opulent as gold, they express themselves. And they are inspired just enough by our classical writing to help us understand what they’re saying.
